No practice tonight due to the holiday. Wednesday, September 17, 2008, 07:23 PM - Practice
EFFECTIVE MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 2008 THROUGH THE END OF THE FALL 2008 SEMESTERCircumstances beyond our control have forced a change in our Monday practice schedule. For the rest of the semester, please adhere to the following timetable for Monday night practices:
Before 7:15pm: DO NOT - for any reason - enter the drill floor of the Armory before 7:15pm. If you arrive before this, enter the Armory through the front doors and hang out in the lobby or our room in the basement. Do not enter from the back or side doors and walk across the drill floor.
7:15pm: Rifle and Pistol Club members may begin to set up QUIETLY on the western (backstop) side of the drill floor. Do not interrupt or distract the ROTC class on the east half of the drill floor. Do not walk across or put any equipment on their side.
7:30pm: The ROTC class will leave the drill floor. We will immediately secure the floor and begin the "going hot" procedures.
8:30pm: Expect a cease-fire around this time.
9:30pm: Practice is over. We need to be packed up, cleaned up, and completely off the drill floor by this time.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email us and ask. We understand this new schedule is different from what we've thus far advertised to our members. If you've already paid club dues for this semester/year and this change is unacceptable to you, please see our treasurer Andrew at practice and we'll gladly refund your dues.
We apologize for this inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

A section called "Group Reservations" has been added to the list on the left detailing our Safety Day Program. Check it out if you're interested in taking your Purdue-affiliated organization to the range to go shooting or learn more about shooting sports.Tuesday, September 16, 2008, 08:57 PM - Other Events
Ever wanted to shoot something more exciting than the .22s we use in the Armory? On Saturday, September 21st, we're driving up to Jasper-Pulaski for the day to shoot all our personal guns in all calibers. This is a great chance to try out new and different firearms that we don't normally have a chance to shoot, and get a feel for different calibers. You'll need to be at the armory ready to go at 9:30am that morning, and don't expect to be back until around dinner time (unless you can make plans to leave with a driver who's leaving early). If you're interested in going or have questions, email Corey.Read this forum thread for more IMPORTANT details and discussion about the trip.
Ever wanted to shoot a machine gun, watch a massive night-time machine gun shoot with tracers, or walk through one of the largest Class III/militaria shows in the US? Chris is looking for people interested in going to the Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot in Westpoint, KY, on Saturday, October 11. It's an amazing trip! Plan on leaving early in the morning on Satuday and getting home very early in the morning on Sunday. Admission is $10, plus gas and food costs, and money to buy stuff/shoot machine guns.
Email Chris if you're curious/interested, or discuss here.
