Due to the lack of responses, we will NOT be having a Safety Day tomorrow, September 25. Competition practices will commence as normal. The next Safety Day will be November 11.

Thanks to all those who came to the callout tonight and also those who volunteered to help run the range. This was probably the largest callout the club has had in many years, although we do not know exact numbers yet.

Regular practices will commence this Thursday, September 2 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm in the Armory. Practice will be held during this time every Thursday until the end of the semester except during major holidays or otherwise posted. Regular practice on Monday nights will commence after the Labor Day holiday on Monday, September 13 from 7 pm to 9 pm.

If you were not able to make it to the callout tonight, please feel free to come to any Monday practice. One of the club officers will give you (and potentially a group of others) a safety briefing and will assist you in getting started shooting with the club.

Our club call-out for Fall 2010 will be on Monday, August 30 at 7 pm in the Purdue Armory at the corner of University St. and Third St. Come join us to learn how to safely shoot or just to continue shooting. The call-out lasts from 7 pm until 9 pm, during which time we will give you a safety briefing then allow you time to shoot. 1. Practice for the rest of the semester will be as follows.

- 04/05, 7 PM to 9 PM
- 04/07, 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM
- 04/08, 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM
- 04/12, 7 PM to 9 PM

We will not have practice after 04/12/2010.

2. Officers for 2010-2011 school year.

We will be selecting our officers for the next school year on 04/12. If you are interested in a leadership position in the club, please speak to me at one of our upcoming practices.

The officers for next year will be expected to attend a planning meeting on 04/19 at 7 PM.

3. NRA Rifle Match

The club will be hosting the NRA Collegiate Rifle Championships next week. If you are interested in supporting our rifle team or simply coming to watch, the match runs from 8 AM to to 6:30 PM on Saturday. There are 2 smallbore relays in the AM and two air rifle relays in the afternoon.

Weekday practices begin today.

We will have practice Wednesday from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM and Thursday 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Please show up on time and help with set-up and tear down.

Exceptions:

- There will no practice over Spring Break.
- There will be no practice on April 22nd.

We will post other cancellations as we become aware of them.
