So you want to join the Purdue Waterski Club?
Here is what you need to do.
1. The Red Tape
For safety and insurance reasons, you must first fill out the following forms. The first form is a general information sheet that tells us a little more about you. The second form is a hold-harmless agreement for the Waterski Club and the University. Lastly, you must become a collegiate member of USA Waterski for insurance purposes. This costs $40 for the entire year, and allows up to $100,000 medical liability if you were to be involved in a skiing related accident. All forms must be given to a club officer once completed.
2- Lake Rules
Note: When filling in the online form for your USA Waterski membership, "Team Name" is Purdue University and "Sports Discipline" is Collegiate. After filling out the form online, it is very important to print out the verification page and have it with you the first time you want to ski. Otherwise you have to wait for them to mail you your membership card.
2. So what's this going to cost me?
Club Membership Dues:
To be able to pay for our boat and boat insurance, along with other expenses, the club has an initial membership fee of $40 per member. Checks can be made out to Purdue Waterski Club.
Boat Gas:
Make sure you bring $5 with you whenever you come to the lake. It is good for one pull. This is equal to about 6-8 slalom passes, or 10-12 minutes tricking or boarding (always depends on how many other people are waiting to ski).
3. Finished?
Now take all this stuff to the ski office located in the basement of Stuart Center room 16A.

How do I get to Lake Purdue, can I get a ride, and when will boat drivers be at the lake?
It takes about 15 minutes to drive to the lake. Directions and a driver schedule can be found in the lake section of the website. If you are looking for a ride or giving a ride to the lake, look at the driver's schedule and try and call a driver before they leave or post something in the group.
