I am happy to make materials of all kinds available to users from all over the world. However, in order to protect my rights with regard to the materials I have created, I request that you abide by the following policies. Your use of the site and any materials contained therein will constitute your acceptance of the following terms and conditions.

Using Materials: Personal and Educational Use

You may print and distribute pages of my instructional materials (handouts) if the materials are for personal or educational purposes only. However, you may print no more than 200 copies of each document and copies of no more than 20 separate documents. When printing any of my handouts, you may modify them only if you have permission from me. The copyright notice and the URL for the document being distributed must appear on each page of my instructional material you print and distribute.

Please note that copies are for one-time use only.

In the case of materials such as my PowerPoint presentations, you may download one copy for your personal or educational use. You may not modify this material in any way, and my copyright notice and authorship information must remain intact.

You may not download or reproduce graphics or visuals separate from the documents which contain them unless you have arranged to do so under a separate licensing agreement.

Using Materials: Commercial Use

If any of the materials on this web site are to be used in any manner for commercial purposes (that is, if any profit is connected to the use of the materials in any way, if any fee is charged, or if providing such materials enhances your commercial interests), then you must contact me. I will forward your request to the Office of Technology Commercialization (OTC) at Purdue University.

You must provide the following information in order to consider your request for a non-exclusive license agreement to use of these materials. A license fee may be charged, depending on the request.

1. Your name, address, and name plus brief description of your organization.
2. Number of separate handouts you wish to copy (please list the URLs for each).
3. Number of copies of each handout.
4. Fee you will charge, if any.
5. Description of how the materials will be used and manner in which they will be distributed. If a fee will be charged, indicate what the fee will be and/or why you are requesting these materials. Please be as specific as possible to avoid delays in considering your request.

You may not download graphics or visuals separate from the documents which contain them unless you have arranged to do so under a separate licensing agreement.

MIRRORING OR TRANSFERRING MATERIALS TO A WEB SITE WITHOUT A LICENSE AGREEMENT IS NOT LEGAL AND THE REQUESTING PARTY WILL NOT BE GIVEN AUTHORIZATION.

In order to help me serve users better and to keep my own personal records, however, I would appreciate knowing about links to my site. Please send me an email when you link to my site. Information about who links to my site will be kept confidential.

All links must be directly to the Allen Brizee Website Homepage. You may not download materials to other sites or hard-drives for users to link to there unless you have a licensing agreement with me. Examples of such presentation would include linking within a frame that includes advertisements or linking within a frame so that my materials appear to be part of another site. While I recognize that there are legitimate uses for frames, I would prefer that links to my site be unframed.
