Applied General Equilibrium Analysis

AGEC618: Applied General Equilibrium Analysis. This graduate course develops the theory behind applied general equilibrium analysis and subsequently brings it to bear in the context of the Global Trade Analysis Project (GTAP) modeling framework. Lectures and background materials are provided on the web, with weekly meetings devoted to discussion of the weekly homework assignments as well as material related to the on-line lectures. A midterm exam covers the basic theory. In lieu of a final exam, students present a class project which entails the replication and extension of a published GTAP-based study.
