Souvenir given to the Batch of 1997 - '98
School Motto:
Promite Vires (latin words meaning Put forth your strength)

Mount Abu is a picturesque hill station at the border of Rajasthan (India) and is the only hill station on the entire Aravali Range. I spent six years at St. Mary's School, which is run by the Christian Brothers Organization of Ireland. Alumni and students will recognize many of the names given to the various landmarks.

This part of the website was inspired by Val Noronha's (Batch of '73) site - www.dgrc.ca/sms. The official school site (I guess) is now http://www.sms.ac.in.  Pretty good job done on it except that there's no mention of our school Motto , Promite Vires (or Promote Viruses :) as we called it). I found an interesting article on the origins of the Christian Brothers at the Catholic Encyclopedia and another article on Edmund Rice can be found on the BBC website. Below are some memories captured over the years that I thought I might share with other 'abu-ites'. Cheers!
