Experimental Native Copper Working

One component of the current NSF-Arctic Social Sciences sponsored project was the experimental replication of copper awls. These photos were taken by Marah Brenneman and Jenna Ling during the process of working native copper nuggets into awls using only lithic tools, and then examining the awls using metallography.
