First of all, a very good source of advice for filling your taxes are the sessions that volunteers hold for international students. These sessions take place during the Spring semester in the West Lafayette Public Library. During these sessions they guide you on exactly how to fill in your State and Federal taxes. These volunteers are usually very helpful so do not hesitate to ask them any questions you might have. In the West Lafayette Public Library you can also find the forms that you have to fill in for your taxes.

The easiest way to fill in your State taxes is online. You can also submit your State taxes online. To do that, it is a requirement that in the past you filled State taxes at least once. For your Federal taxes, you can use the program Cintax to create PDF files of all the necessary forms and then you simply have to mail these forms to the proper address. Purdue University should inform you on how to use Cintax and how to log in.
