The Boilers advance to 7-2 after a tremendous offensive showing against Big Ten opponent Iowa this past weekend. The line of Radermacher, Tzortzakis and Shmelzer were too much for the Hawkeyes to handle. The Boilers came out hard both nights and showed there offensive power winning 5-1 on Friday and 8-1 on Saturday. Other things to note from the weekend was Adam "Metro" Monnier making his debut from his groin injury on Saturday and Kevin "Slithering" Smith scoring his first collegiate goal on Friday night. The Boilers face off against tough league rival Loyola University of Chicago this upcoming weekend. The Boilers return to action @Pan Am Ice Arena on Friday October 23th at 730pm. Special thanks to the fans that came out to support during Friday nights game, and to Brendan Reed; the clubs newly appointed photographer! Come out and cheer your Boilers to victory against Loyola University this weekend!

The Purdue Hockey Team mourns the loss of one of their brothers, freshman Andrew T. Jackson, who lost his life in an accident traveling to a game on Saturday, December 1st. The van in which he was traveling, the first of three which the team uses, lost control on Indiana SR-25 about 5 miles north of Wingate, IN in extremely icy conditions.
"AJ", as the team knew him, had more heart than anyone could ever imagine. He was passionate for the game, school, and his family, friends, and teammates. Everyone will miss his amazing personality and the energy he brought into every challenge.
AJ, you are loved more than you can ever imagine. You will be missed, but never forgotten. You have touched us all and have gained a piece of each of our hearts.
