The Boilers lost there second game of the season in regulation after a poor showing Friday night against Big Ten rival Northwestern. The Boilers came out strong the following Saturday night and won in OT 5-4. The game winning goal was the result of a tremendous effort by Scott "The Bull" Campbell which led to a break away for Tyler "Dangles" Shankles of which he netted and received credit for his first career college game winning goal. The previous weekend the Boilers manhandled Bradley in Peoria 6-1 and 5-2. Kurt "The Miracle Man" Radermacher led all scorers. The Boilers are now 11-2-2 and ranked 13 in the Southeast Regional. Their is one injury to report however that assistant captain Chad "Wick" Manista has sustained. It is a broken middle finger on his left hand, which has made his status questionable for this upcoming weekend. Head Coach Brian Bronk expects him in the lineup this weekend against the mighty Wheaton College Thunder. The Boilers faceoff against the Thunder Friday night at @7pm and on Saturday afternoon @1pm. All games are held at the Pan Am Ice Arena in Indianapolis. Come out and support your Boilers!

The Purdue Hockey Team mourns the loss of one of their brothers, freshman Andrew T. Jackson, who lost his life in an accident traveling to a game on Saturday, December 1st. The van in which he was traveling, the first of three which the team uses, lost control on Indiana SR-25 about 5 miles north of Wingate, IN in extremely icy conditions.
"AJ", as the team knew him, had more heart than anyone could ever imagine. He was passionate for the game, school, and his family, friends, and teammates. Everyone will miss his amazing personality and the energy he brought into every challenge.
AJ, you are loved more than you can ever imagine. You will be missed, but never forgotten. You have touched us all and have gained a piece of each of our hearts.
