for Textbook
There are both advantage and disadvantage
to buy textbooks early in the semester. The advantage is that you
can easier find used books which are cheaper and still in good condition.
The disadvantage is that you may find out later that the books are actually
not necessary or hardly used in the the class. Of course, you
can refund them within certain period, but some bookstores are very nasty
on this matter (see below).
