It feels good to be back, doesn't it? You know what else will feel good? Coming to the Purdue Improv Club's Spring Semester Callout this Friday, Jan. 27 from 7-9 pm in BRNG 2280. First on the itinerary is a short show by the Ship of Fools, followed by our regularly scheduled Open Forum where you - yes, you! - can try out improv games at your own leisure.

One Class Fits All

Do you like improv? I would venture a guess that you do! Well our friends at One Size Fits Allare hosting a class for those of you who are (West) Lafayette bound for the summer. The class is great for those who are just starting out or those with a bit of scene work under their belt who want to improve.

The course consists of six three-hour classes and will teach you how to build characters, scenes, and ideas. The finalle consists of a show with your classmates at the Civic Theatre. Classes are on Saturdays starting July 9 to August 13 from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and the cost is $140.

This Saturday two comedy forces will be slamming into each other, creating a supernova of awesome. Think that's a little over-excited? THINK AGAIN! The Ship of Fools will be teaming up with One Size Fits All at the Civic Theater at 7:30 PM. All money goes directly to the Civic Theater, so come laugh at ... I mean for a good cause.

Pizzazz Your Thursday

Thursdays are the worst. Not quite Friday, not quite Wednesday (and who doesnt love their Wednesdays?!), nothing but boring. Hey! I've got an idea! You know what Thursdays can use? Some spice, confetti, pizzazz! The Ship of Fools have got that pizzazz. This Thursday March 24 the Fools will be performing at 7:30 PM in the Union, in front of Starbucks. There will be free food and drink, so come get your giggle on.

Bored out of your mind on Friday nights? Sitting at home thinking "man, I wish I had something to make up from 7-9 PM this Friday." Well have we got the activity for you! This Friday from 7-9 in BRNG 2280 regular open forum will commence, followed by a workshop on characters by Laura "TB" Helmers. It will rock your socks, blow your mind, make you a better person. Trust me. I'm on the internet.

Comedy for a Cause

The Ship of Fools have combined forces with the National Residence Hall Honorary to bring you a fabulous one hour show in support of the Timmy Foundation.
The Timmy Foundation helps bring vital drugs to people in Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, and Guatemala. This charity show has a suggested donation of or one of the following:
-Aleve
-Aspirin
-Advil
-Tylenol
-Non-gummy childrens vitamins
-Adult vitamins

This is a small price to pay for the minimum $worth of laughter we promise you in this one hour showJoin us on Saturday Feburary 1from 6-PM in MTHW 21for this great cause.

Dead week got you zombified? Finals are looming and what you need, good sir or madame, is a little bit of laughter in your life. Boy, have we got the solution for you. The Ship of Fools will be having a show this Friday, December 10, at 7 PM in BRNG 2280. After that, normal open forum will commence. BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE! This Friday will also be a bad sweater party, so bust out your truly horrendous warm wear and don't forget your laughing shoes.

Hungry for laughter and filled with the Thanksgiving spirit? The Ship of Fools have got you covered. They will be holding a show this Saturday, November the 13 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the Union Faculty Lounges. Admission is one canned food item or the monetary equivalent (suggested $3). All donations go to Food Finders. Thanks go out to War on Hunger the Purdue Student Chapter who have helped plan the show.
