Ship of Fools and Crazy Monkeys Charity Show

November 3, 2007
8:00 pmto10:00 pm

In a stunning and/or shining example of the unifying powers of improv, the Ship of Fools and the Crazy Monkeys put aside their former, halfheartedly maintained, frankly-kind-of-allowed-to-languish-lately rivalry and come together to do something great for the world.

The SoF and the Crazy Monkeys will perform a (*gasp!*) joint charity benefit improv show on Saturday, November 3 from 8-10 pm in Matthews 210 (the big lecture hall).

The show will feature 45 minutes of improv from each group with some awesome collaborative games at the end.

Our Ship of Crazy Foolish Monkeys will be asking for donations, which will be split between the Timmy Foundation and Habitat for Humanity. The minimum suggested retail price for your conscience is $3. Greater peace of mind can be bought with larger donations.

Breakdown of the charities:

  • The Timmy Foundation is a volunteer-based, not-for-profit NGO “Building healthy futures worldwide, one child at a time. We accomplish this by strengthening community-based health and education initiatives and by empowering young people to share their energy and compassion.”

  • “Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry. HFHI seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.”

See you there!
