Dominant Delta Omicron Chapter of Purdue University

CHAPTER HISTORY
On March 5, 1999 one man changed the face of Purdue University forever. On this fateful day, Charles Hall II, a junior from Chicago, IL, crossed into Iota land on I.S. Solitaire. He was guided by the trailblazing brothers of our Gamma Delta Chapter (Indiana University). With this, brother Hall became the founding member of the Iota Phi Theta colony at Purdue University. Brother Hall became the seed of Iota that was planted at Purdue and growth began immediately. On December 12, 1999, Aaron Ezel was deemed worthy of Iota and crossed into Iota land on I.S.Prodigy. Behind the leadership of brother Hall and the intensity of brother Ezel, they increased their efforts to find men who would be worthy of donning the letters of Iota Phi Theta. Thus, the legacy began. Since that time, nine additional brothers have been deemed worthy of crossing into the brotherhood of Iota here at Purdue. During this time, the brothers worked diligently to fulfill the requirements placed upon them by the National office to gain Chapter status. Charter was granted on August 10, 2001 at the annual Iota Phi Theta National Conclave in New Orleans, LA. They now proudly hold the signification of “Delta Omicron Chapter of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity Incorporated TM.” We, as The Iota Men of Purdue University, continue to forge our way into the future. The hard work, dedication, and sacrifice of the fore fathers of the Dominant Delta Omicron chapter have established it as one of the elite Greek chapters here at Purdue University. This reputation is embraced as a tradition on which the brothers of Delta Omicron continue to build, and never rest upon!
