Welcome to the Iven C. Kincheloe, Jr. Squadron at Purdue University.
Our society has been supporting the mission of the Air Force for well
over 50 years. The objective of this message is to give all the
viewers an idea of what this outstanding organization is all about.
The three fold mission of the Arnold Air Society is: To create a more
efficient relationship among Air Force officer candidates, in
particular within the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps; To aid
in the development of effective Air Force officers; To further the
purpose, traditions, and concepts of the United States Air Force.
Several programs we employ to achieve our objectives are:
* Interviewing veterans to be documented in the Library of Congress
* Tippecanoe County Humane Society visits
* 'Boo at the Zoo' in Lafayette
* First Aid for Children Today
* Spaghetti dinners benefiting charity
* Air Force Association Visions program
* 'AnySoldier.com' Program: writing and sending packages to troops
over seas
* Offering rides to the Veterans' Home
* Boiler Volunteer Network
* Lafayette Urban Ministries Shelter Clean
* Cadet Appreciation Day
* Raising POW/MIA awareness
In order to improve the professional development of members of
AFROTC here at Purdue, we provide an intensive training program. The
training that members receive is exemplary provided by our Director of
Training, AAS C/Capt Barrett.
