TRAVEL TO PURDUE BY AIR

When traveling to Purdue by air, the easiest way to get to West Lafayette is by flying into the Indianapolis International Airport (IND) .  The trip from the airport to your destination in West Lafayette should take approximately one hour.

To get from the airport to campus and the local hotels, there is a shuttle that runs from IND to those destinations.  The cost is $50 round trip.  The limousine (shuttle bus) runs (approximately) every two hours from Indianapolis from about 6:30 a.m. until 10:30 p.m.  From Lafayette to Indianapolis, the limousine runs from approximately 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 pm.  To check the schedule and make reservations (required), visit www.lafayettelimo.com . 

If you choose to rent a car at the airport, two (of several) possibilities are Budget rent-a-car (www.budget.com) and Hertz rent-a-car (www.hertz.com). To get to campus from the airport, get on I-65N and then follow the directions to the Grant Street parking garage that can be found HERE.. Driving directions to the hotels are provided below.

TRAVEL TO PURDUE BY CAR

***Directions to the Grant Street parking garage from various starting points can be found HERE.

*** Guests of the Union Club Hotel will park at the Grant Street parking garage during their stay at Purdue. Follow the directions above to the Grant Street garage; the Union Club hotel is directly across Grant Street from the parking structure.

*** Driving directions to the Hilton Garden Inn, starting from I-65: Take I-65 N/S to exit 172. Proceed west (toward Lafayette) on State Route 26. Continue on SR 26 for several miles, through downtown Lafayette (be careful not to exit onto Main Street in downtown Lafayette) which will become Columbia Street. The hotel will be on your right as you cross over the Wabash River on SR-26 (Columbia).

If you are driving in via I-70 or I-74, you will likely follow the second set of directions found HERE. When you arrive at the intersection of I-231 and SR 26 (State Street) in West Lafayette, turn right. The hotel will be a short distance ahead on your left.

*** Driving directions to the Holiday Inn hotel: from I-65 : follow the directions as given above to the Hilton Garden Inn. Rather than take I-26 all the way to the Hilton Garden Inn, turn left at N 5th street when you reach downtown Lafayette. The Holiday Inn will be on your right.

If you are driving in via I-70 or I-74, you will likely follow the second set of directions found HERE. When you arrive at the intersection of I-231 and SR26 (State Street) in West Lafayette, turn right. Cross over the Wabash river (at which point SR-26 becomes South Street), and the Holiday Inn Hotel will be on your right.
