The Physical Plant Golf Association
Welcome to the 2017 edition of the Physical Plant Golf Association.
The PPGA is a golf league of individual competition. Handicaps are generated using your weekly scores and are used to determine points that are awarded each week. At the end of the season, trophies are awarded for most total points, lowest scoring average, best sportsmanship, and most putting points. Three tournaments are sponsored throughout the season, with food and fellowship following each tournament. League play is usually on Wednesdays, at either of the excellent Purdue golf courses. This year, specific dates are set aside for play on the Kampen course, as well as Ackerman Allen, once it opens. Check the schedule for dates. Exceptions are made for vacations and busy schedules.
Each Wednesday during scheduled league play, a block of tee times are
generally held from approximately 4:00 – 5:30 pm for PPGA members. This block will be held until the Tuesday
prior to play after which it will be opened up for use by the general
public. For most weeks, the block is for the front nine on the designated
course. You will still need to reserve a tee time(s) for your group; be sure to
identify yourself as a member when making your reservations. Since we are
a league, please make an effort to play during these times.
Rates for 2017: $19 to walk, $29 to ride.

Looking to join the league? If you don't have a foursome or a partner to golf with, we can pair you up. Or, if you have any questions at all, please contact any of the officers. Just click on their name for their email address. (Kevin is particularly good at questions!)
Are you looking for how your handicap is calculated or for your accumulated point totals? If so, go to the weekly results page. At the bottom you will see a series of tabs corresponding to the weeks of the league. Under those tabs is a slider bar. Use the bar to slide the tabs all the way to the end of the season. After the weekly tabs are two tabs labeled Hcp and Points. Pick the Hcp tab to see how your handicap is calculated; pick the Points tab to review your accumulated points total for the season. Please email Dave Jones if you find any discrepancies.
