29th Annual Preseason

 

Golf Tournament

 

Saturday April 20th, Ackerman-Allen Golf Course

Starting at Noon.

 

 

Entry fee is $5 payable to Kyle Banter (STDM) prior to April 19th.

Please do not send cash through campus mail

Players are responsible for their own 25$ green fees & 10$ cart (if used).

 

 

Tournament Format:

 

This is a two person per team tournament with the following format:

 

Holes 1 - 6, Scramble -  Each player tees off using his own ball. Then select the best shot and both players hit from that spot. This pattern continues on each shot throughout the hole. Record the one score.

 

 

Holes 7 - 12, Best ball - each player plays his own ball throughout and record the lowest score of the two players.

 

 

Holes 13 - 18, Revised Alternate shot - both players tee off, then after taking the best shot, you alternate shots from that point until someone holes out. Record just one score.

 

Other Rules:

 

You may improve your lie anywhere on the course except in a trap or hazard, but not more than 6 inches and no closer to the hole.

 

Hole all putts, no gimmees

 

There are no requirements for number of drives used by each player in the scramble format.

 

Out of bounds or lost ball is a one-stroke penalty. Drop within 2 club lengths of where the ball went out or was last seen.

Beverages and prizes will be available at the conclusion of the outing!

 

As a special incentive, each player participating in the preseason tournament will receive 5 points towards their total league score.

 

Grab a partner and sign up or sign up and the league will make every effort to pair you up with a partner.
