Answers to Common Questions

Why is it called "The Order?"

KA is not a typical fraternity because we are an Order. A fraternity will break a man down to rebuild him to become the perfect brother. An Order finds men who already meet the requirement to be a good brother. KA isn’t the stereotypical “Animal House” greek organization in that we don’t believe in hazing, irreverence, or (as some brothers describe) general “douchebaggery.” If you despise the “frat boy” image but still want a sense of brotherhood, KA may be a perfect fit.

As new members, you will have a new member education meeting every week as well. We have many other events throughout the year, but we understand when you have prior obligations. In fact, we encourage our brothers to be active in many organizations. As students at purdue, Academics are our sole priority.

Can anyone join?

Anyone is encouraged to check KA out to see if you belong with the gentlemen of the Order. Our recruitment is ongoing and we always welcome a new face. If the brothers agree that you are a gentleman and a scholar, we would love to have you join our ranks.
