Pi Chapter History

• The first Pi chapter was founded at the Tulane School of Medicine on Dec. 12, 1908. It lasted only a few years.
  
• The Pi chapter at Purdue University (West Lafayette, IN) was installed on June 11, 1928.
  
• The installing officer was Grand Historian L. K. Darbaker.
  
• Pi chapter was formed from a group called the "Golden Spatula".
  
• Pi Chapter was founded by Fred J. Stock.
  
• Pi chapter sent 99 men to W.W.II, and one became a Gold Star recipient -- Charles P. Sparks.
  
• Four Grand officers have come from Pi chapter:
