Hephaestus attempts to rape Athena. They struggle (eris), and when he ejaculates on her thigh, she wipes off the semen with a piece of wool (erion) and throws it on the ground (chthôn). The earth (Gaea) conceives and gives birth > Erichthonius. The 3 daughters of Cecrops I are his nurses; they are driven insane when they open the box in which Erichthonius has been kept and discover that he is a snake OR that he has snakes for legs (!).


5th Generation
Erichthonius (autochthon) + Praxithea I > 1 son (Pandion I)


6th Generation
Pandion I + Zeuxippe (aunt) > 2 sons (Butes & Erechtheus) and 2 daughters


7th Generation
Erechtheus + Praxithea II > 3 sons (including Cecrops II) and 4 daughters

Cecrops II + ? > Pandion II
