Who is eligible for membership?

 

  • Sophomores, juniors, and seniors, and graduate students.
  • All education majors from all programs at Purdue are eligible to join.
  • Undergraduates must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and graduate students must have a GPA of 3.25 or higher.
  • You must be in the process of applying to the Teacher Education Program.

 

What must you do in order to join?

 

You must:

  • Earn 8 points. Points are earned by attending meetings.
  • 1 point may be earned by completing 1 hour of community service and uploading the service information to BoilerLink.
  • Pay National Dues ($42 for 1 year or $78 for 2 years) ONLINE.
  • Pay Local Dues ($20 check to Kappa Delta Pi). You can give this to one of the officers at a meeting. There is a one-time initiation fee of $16 for new members. This can be combined with the $20 check to Kappa Delta Pi for a total of $36. National Dues are paid online, local/initiation fee is paid via check or exact cash to us.

 

In order to receive emails regarding Kappa Delta Pi, ETA Chapter you must first subscribe to our listserv by following the procedure detailed below:

  • If the email address that you normally use is set as default on your computer, click here to subscribe. If not, simply follow these steps:

                         1. Compose an email to majordomo@purdue.edu

                         2. Do not put anything in the subject

                         3. Type "subscribe kdp" in the body

                         4. Do not add anything else to the email
