Who is eligible for membership?
- Sophomores, juniors, and
seniors, and graduate students.
- All
education majors from all programs at Purdue are eligible to join
- Undergraduates must have a
GPA of 3.0 or higher and graduate students must have a GPA of 3.25 or
higher.
- You must be in the process of
applying to the Teacher Education Program.
What must you do in order to join?
You must:
- Earn a minimum of eight
activity points by April 9, 2013.
- Complete the Web Quiz by March 19, 2013 Click Here AND email
this to Natalie Pope npope@purdue.edu
- Make a creative work (i.e. a
photo album, picture frame, paddle, tote bag, etc.) containing the Kappa
Delta Pi letters, Eta Chapter, the semester you will be initiated
(spring 2013), your name, and the signatures of at least two other
pledges or members. This is worth one activity point. You may earn
additional activity points by getting the signatures of people in your
pledge class. Every twenty signatures are worth one point. OR make a game/activity for Murdock elementary school. We will talk
more about this in the meetings. The creative work or activity is due March 19, 2013.
- Join a committee and earn one
activity point by working on the committee.
- Pay National Dues ($42 for 1
year or $78 for 2 years) ONLINE at https://ams.kdp.org/kdpssa/kdpmemssaapply.startapplication?p_chapter_id=C7
Pay Local Dues ($20 check to Kappa Delta Pi) You can give this to one of
the officers at a meeting. There is a one-time initiation fee of $16 for new members. This can be
combined with the $20 check to Kappa Delta Pi for a total of $36.
National Dues are paid online, local/initiation
fee is paid via check or exact cash to us.
In order to receive emails regarding Kappa Delta Pi, ETA
Chapter you must first subscribe to our listserv by following the procedure
detailed below:
- If the email address that you
normally use is set as default on your computer, click here to
subscribe. If not, simply follow these steps:
1. Compose an email to majordomo@purdue.edu
2. Do not put anything in the subject
3. Type "subscribe kdp" in the body
4. Do not add anything else to the email
