Confession: I idolize Indiana Jones.
Growing up, he was an odd hero for a little girl with blonde pigtails, but I loved him. He traveled the world and had a pulse for adventure. While my elementary schoolmates wanted to be firefighters and astronauts, I wanted to be Indiana Jones. I was the only second grader who could spell it; I was going to be an A-R-C-H-A-E-O-L-O-G-I-S-T.
As my education broadened and I was exposed to more than the magic of the cinema, my dreams of dusting dinosaur bones and discovering the Lost Arc faded into a clearer picture of my life’s passions. I developed a keen sense of what made me tick. I love knowledge; I love human interaction; and I still love adventures.
The intention of this Web site is to give visitors a tiny cross-section of my life. As noted, it's just a glimpse of this wanna-be archaeologist turned communication scholar who thinks, at times, she should have been an engineer.
