Welcome to my web page. I am an
archaeologist at Purdue
University and work on the south coast of Peru in Nasca. For updated links to papers and research see my academia.edu page. Click the link for information on my lab and students.
Most recently I have been working on a National Geographic funded project on prehispanic mining on the south coast of Peru. The above picture is from 2010 at Mina Primavera. (Pictured from left to right are Verity Whalen, Kevin Vaughn, John Kantner, Hendrik Van Gijseghem, and Jelmer Eerkens.)
NEWS:I participated in a Discovery Channel documentary on the Nasca Lines that aired in Jan, 2010.
Published in Dec, 2007, this article in JOM reports on Mina Primavera. See these links as reported in National Geographic, MSNBC, and Science Daily.
