The research in the NPRLab is in the area of systems neural engineering.  Within this area, specific laboratory research interests include neuroprostheses, brain-machine interfaces, neural applications of BioMEMS, and assessing and optimizing neural implant lifetime and biocompatibility.  This involves a multidisciplinary approach utilizing neural engineering techniques to address basic science questions to ultimately provide clinically relevant applications.
