Mr. James Kim of Mooto is allowing us to purchase some Ssang Jool Bong aka Nunchaku from him. All you have to do is call him and say you are from Purdue Kuk Sool Won and you would like to buy the Nunchaku everyone else is buying. Call his toll free number first, If that doesn’t work call his cell, but do not call his cell when it is not during business hours. p.s. I believe he is in California so e aware of Time Zone related Issues.
Statistics and totals for the number of schools in all the countries that have Kuk Sool around the world. There is a secondary list breaking it down by state in the U.S.
Thanks to Kwan Jang Nim Gene Gause for putting this video on the web. The end of the video has a long Demonstration by Kuk Sa Nim himself. Quite a sight to see.
Here are the two links to get your Ssang Jool Bong. I highly recommend you order 2 because I would like to teach single first and double by the end of the semester. The first link is for regular Grey and the second link is for Black. I don’t care what color you buy, the Black ones are more expensive.
* Important
When ordering the Grey Ssang Jool Bong make sure you specify you want the Large - 27cm in length, with the Black ones it only comes in 27cm length
* I have disabled these links due to shipping problems, I am looking into it - Max JKN

News about our club fund raising and volunteering. We have now officially signed up to work prior to Purdue Football games as Parking attendants. All proceeds will go to the club for future funding that you guys may want. For example, sending people to tournaments in the Spring for minimal cost, or even renting a big van or bus to go to tournament. Which would be awesome. We can order sweatshirts or gear bags. Whatever you guys want to use these new funds for we can.
Here are the details:
3 people from our club are REQUIRED to work prior to each game assisting in parking.
You will start working 4 hours prior to the games all the way up to the game if all parking is done.
After you work you are dismissed and you can go on with your day by either going home or to the game.
You get free seats at the game if you work prior to that game. (For example, if you want to go and see Ohio State and you don’t have tickets you can work before the game and get free admission). After you work you will show an attendant a photo ID for a specified gate and you will get to go to the football game.
By Monday before each game I need a roster of the three people who will work the coming game. IMPORTANT
If you sign-up to work and have to back out because of an emergency you need to find another Kuk Sool member or friend who will work for you, and that needs to be communicated to me as soon as you know. I will need to call the man in charge and get you switched out and the new person switeched in.
We are actually working as part of security by working the lot. Now I did not know this till right before I ended the conversation with the man in charge, but there is a dress code:
- Black Shoes - Black Pants
- White, Collared Polo shirt
If you are not dressed this way when you show up they will send you home. So this is important. It sucks, but it is important. If you want to volunteer for a game and you do not have the dress code items you will need to borrow from a friend or someone else in Kuk Sool. I may buy some cheap white polos for the club if we need them.
All the money will go to Purdue Kuk Sool Won, but if you and two of your friends really want to go see a game, and your friends are not in Kuk Sool, I may consider letting them work the game with you if it is brought up to me early enough and they follow all the rules, and behave in a manner than will bring only positive comments about our club from the people we are volunteering for.
Here is the HOME Football Schedule we will volunteer for:
9/8 vs. Eastern Illinois 12 pm ET
9/15 vs. Central Michigan 12 pm ET
9/29 vs. Notre Dame TBA
10/6 vs. Ohio State 8 pm ET
10/20 vs. Iowa TBA
10/27 vs. Northwestern 12 pm ET
11/10 vs. Michigan State TBA
Let the Volunteering Begin!
Right now, by Monday night I need 3 volunteers to work the first game. If you have the dress code I am sure everyone would appreciate it if you volunteered first. As you can see we need 21 people to volunteer and there are around 30 people in the club. Not everyone has to work a game, but please volunteer and support the club. You will only need to do it once and you can go to a game for Free.
I will be out of town all weekend, but would really appreciate it if by Monday night when I get back I have a bunch of Volunteers for games so I do not have call everyone in the club. Thanks in advance for volunteering and have a wonderful Holiday. NO PRACTICE SUNDAY!
