During the last 12+ years Purdue has had a Kuk Sool Won club it has had four instructors. The club was started by then Purdue freshmen and new First Degree Black Belt Ben MacCall. He continued to helm the club during his time at Purdue as an undergrad, Masters student, and PhD student. Ben MacCall continued to teach and practice Kuk Sool till he was to become the rank of Pu Sa Bum Nim (PSBN - 3rd Degree Black Belt).

When PSBN Ben needed a break from teaching Kuk Sool to finish his PhD he was lucky enough to have one of his best friends come to Purdue and take over the club. Seth Hicks, then Kyo Sa Nim (2nd Degree) and recently promoted to Pu Sa Bum Nim, attended University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and started Kuk Sool there under Sa Bum Nim Tim Seitz (4th Degree Black Belt). He would teach our Kuk Sool club here at Purdue for one year till deciding to attend Law School in Illinois.
After PSBN Seth decided to leave he left the responsibility of the club to the current Instructor Jo Kyo Nim Max Page (JKN - First Degree Black Belt). However, the next semester Max JKN was to study abroad in Korea to learn about International Business and take Kuk Sool from the source. During the semster Max JKN was gone in Korea an interim Head Instructor named Jo Kyo Nim Matt Braun taught classes for one semester. Max JKN returned became the Head Instructor.

Max JKN began his Martial Arts career at the Age of 5 years old in his home state of Minnesota doing a style that mixed Tae Kwon Do and Kickboxing. He would continue taking Martial Arts in Minnesota up to Freshman year at Purdue. When he arrived he found an activities fair where he met then Head Instructor Ben MacCall. He attended the callout demonstration and has not looked back since.
When Max JKN Graduated Brandon Garman JKN took over the club. Brandon found out about Kuk Sool Won when he was walking around Purdue’s campus and saw a flyer for the club. He joined, and is currently the Head Instructor.
