Thanks for visiting my homepage.

I am a graduate student in the department of statistics at Purdue. My main research interest is the construction of a genetic linkage map for polyploids by Bayesian Method. Building a linkage map for polyploidy species has unique challenges due to the complexities of gene segregation and recombination during meiosis and the limitation of PCR-based DNA maker system. Taking account of the possible uncertainties in linkage mapping, Dr. Bruce A. Craig (advisor) and I have developed a method based on Metropolis Hastings Algorithm.

Beside bioinformatics, my research interests are in medical statistics including clinical trial, survival analysis, longitudinal data analysis, disease mapping, and Bayesian applications. I have participated in numerous interdisciplinary projects through the department's Statistical Consulting Service and through department of Nursing and department of Food and Nutrition. With this blessed involvement, I could have deepened my statistical knowledge and learned how to interpret statistical jargons to non-stat people.
