Week Eleven: Free 2 B U & Me
Our readings this week concern a heated contemporary debate in higher education: the relationship between politics and education. This week's readings constitute the basis for our letter assingment. Here's the 52 million dollar question--is an a-political education possible? Even if possible, is it desirable? How does one conceptualize the relationship between politics and education (nevermind the relationship between education and religion in a country founded upon the separation of church and state yet printing "In God We Trust" on its most representative cultural artifacts).
