Week Nine: The Corporate University
This week focuses on Stanley Aronowitz's controversial book The Knolwedge Factory--which draws upon a metaphor from one of our previous readings.
As you reflect on this week's readings, do not feel that you have to agree with Aronowitz or with Reading's critique of "excellence." Rather, reflect on the decisions you made in selecting a University--what did you look at? Was Purdue your number one choice? Why (or why not)? What factors did you consider in selecting your major? What are the acceptance rates for your program?
You might come up with even better questions--please post them to our collective forum!
