In an effort to recognize the countless organizations and individuals that make a difference in the Purdue community, Mortar Board sponsors a number of awards and fellowships. These awards and fellowships strive to recognize those that make an impact in the lives of others in our community. Below you will find a list and brief description of each of the Mortar Board awards. Click on an individual award to learn more about that specific award and to submit a nomination / application.

Awards and Fellowships Information

Challenge Scholarship Awarded to sophomores who have excelled in the areas of scholarship, service and leadership.
Dean Betty Nelson Service Awards Awarded to Purdue students who have excelled in the area of community service in the greater Lafayette area.
Helen B. Schleman Gold Medallion Awarded each year to a man or woman faculty member or staff member who has matched the goals of Dean Schleman .
Tip of the Cap Awards Awarded to about ten "unsung leaders" in the student body.
Rose Awards Awarded to a dozen clerical and service staff workers nominated by faculty, staff, or students.
Graduate Fellowships Awarded to students entering graduate school, who show potential leadership in their chosen field and in their community.
