Mortar Board has been working on a very special project for the past couple of years. We have commissioned three portraits in honor of three distinguished leaders: Beverley Stone, the first Dean of Students at Purdue; Barbara Cook, with whom is our chapter namesake; and Betty Nelson, who has also had an immensely positive impact on students. These portraits were completed to acknowledge the Office of the Dean of Students and 50 years of these Deans working with our chapter. The portraits will be unveiled October 24th before the football game during the President's Council meeting. The portraits will be hung in the West Faculty lounge in the Union. Mortar Board is very proud and honored to commemorate the accomplishments of 50 years of achievements of such amazing women leaders. We would love alumni to be apart of this special occasion. It will take place October 24th, approximately 3 hours before kickoff in the North Ballroom in the Union.
