Whistle Stop Rundown
Whistle Stop 2018 offers a Beginner Swing track PLUS three Swing Tracks for experienced dancers (Swing 1, 2, and 3).
Beginner swing will feature Sarah & Charlie. The Swing tracks will rotate through our other swing instructors - Bobby & LaTasha, Peter & Naomi, and Laura & Jeremey. Check out our talent page for more on them!
If you want to attend one of the swing tracks you MUST show up to auditions Saturday at 10am at the PMU. You will be placed into Swing 1-3; these tracks happen at the Stewart Center & the PMU (these buildings are right next door).
For the Beginner Swing and the Solo track (with Jamin Jackson!), no audition required. Head to the CoRec (a 20 minute walk from the PMU) directly.
On Sunday, take a 5 minute private from one of our instructors. At this time you can also listen in on Body Awareness by LaTasha Barnes at 10am and "Adventures In Swing Practice" by Bobby White at 11am. All this is hapening in Stewart. Continue on for your last lesson in the afternoon!
Welcome Dance at Carnahan Hall is Friday night at 8pm and ends at midnight. The Saturday Night Dance is also at Carnahan Hall, ending at midnight and followed by the Late Night Dance at the Grotto. Sunday is a goodbye dance at the PMU! Check out all of our locations on the venue tab.
There is a Purdue football game Saturday at 3:30pm!! Parking on campus will be limited. Search for street parking for free or parking the garage (we recommend the Wood Parking Garage) for a flat fee. You WILL NOT find parking near the CoRec.
Parking on Sunday near the CoRec and PMU will be free and available.
