Mission Statement: We are dedicated to creating a program environment where student and faculty diversity is respected, shared, and celebrated.
Who we are: The Multicultural Committee was developed in 2006 as a student initiative in the Counseling Psychology Ph.D. program. We meet on a monthly basis, with the assistance of a faculty member, to address the cultural climate of our program, and to plan activities dedicated to enhancing our cultural awareness.
How we define culture: We define culture in the broadest sense possible, incorporating race, ethnicity, age, religion, nationality, SES, disability, gender, sexual orientation, and education. We also include music, hobbies, food, and other aspects that make us unique.
