Nan Kong (孔楠)

I was born and grew up in Beijing, China. I am proud to be a 74th-generation descendent of Confucius (孔夫子).

Currently, I am the faculty advisor of the following student organizations at Purdue.

• Purdue Chinese Students and Scholars Association (PCSSA)
• Purdue Undergraduate Chinese Association (UCA)
• Purdue International Student Alliance (PISA)
• Purdue International Week Team

I am a HUGE sports fan. I like watching almost all sports or anything competitive, from soccer to football, from NASCAR to Indy car racing, from pool to spelling bee. Here is a list of my favorite professional sports teams.

• Baseball: Boston Red Sox (AL); Pittsburgh Pirates (NL). Lately, start to become a Cubs fan
• Football: Pittsburgh Steelers
• Hockey: Pittsburgh Penguins
• Soccer: Beijing GuoAn (China); FC Internazionale Milano (Italy), Tottenham Hotspurs (England)

You can tell I have spent some time in Pittsburgh. Of course, I am a fan of the Pitt Panthers.
