Making Merry at the Dairy...
To many Orthodox people, especially in this country, Cheesefare Sunday is a special time to enjoy that last bit of dairy product before going full force into Great Lent. This inevitably means lots of cheesecake and other tasty things. Did I mention cheesecake? But this year, we're going to shake things up a bit with a trip to our local dairy farm. The farm is just North of Lafayette off I-65 and will take about 45-55 minutes to get to. While at the farm, we'll be treated to a fun, short film, a tour of the dairy farm and production area, some fun, hands-on stuff, and a spiffy meal with all dairy products. Yes, there will be cheesecake. The ticket price per person is set to be $7 a person, but we're working on getting a reduced rate. Lunch price is not included, nor is spending money for souvenirs. However, prices are very reasonable, so it will not be an excessive burden on your wallet. We'll be leaving directly after church, so be sure to bring a change of clothes with you.
