She meets a cat and kicks its butt. Shun has probably turned into a Karma Demon. She finds him in a lake and he lets her stay for ten minutes to hide from the second cat. Their cantus is a projection of their subconscious. Not everything they do can be controlled by their conscious mind. The escaped Canti are changing the species of the world. Shun is warping the world around him and has for sure turned into a Karma demon. He killed his parents by accident. The cat appears to kill Shun and it kills his dog. Shun decides to kill himself.

Episode 11

Saki is struggling with her knowledge. They are choosing "partners" for duty, but it's mostly an attraction thing. They are replacing Shou in their memories with a kid named Ryou. She figures it out and interrogates him. The group is also trying to figure what the heck is going on. They go to find Shou's house (dubbed X). They've also forgotten the girl from the beginning. They ask Saki to stop trying to find the truth. She promises that Mamoru won't hear any more of her theories. They are going to be interrogated by the Ethics Committee (the ones who kill everyone).

Episode 12

The head wants her to succeed her. They talk about personality index, about staying yourself in times of peril. The board of Education takes care of disposing of students. They talk about Fiends and their history. The head tells the story of "K", who killed his entire class and many other people. The signs were there, but they didn't know what to do. They call this sickness "Fox in the Hen house". K was killed by a doctor, who poisoned him. The Board is allowed to dispose of children until they are seventeen. Karma Demons cannot control their cantus because their subconscious controls it. The head admits to erasing memories of Shun. Mamoru disappears. They lie to Shun's replacement about where they are going.

Episode 13

The group goes looking for Mamoru. They find sled tracks heading towards the Holy Barrier and head in that direction. They follow him past the Barrier and into the mountains. They find his sled smashed to pieces and buried. They find Mamoru, saved by a queer rat that they rescued from the river. Mamoru ran because he didn't want to die and they had sent a copycat for him. They vaguely begin to remember some more of their erased memories.

Episode 14

Two of them return home. They are both interrogated by the Board of Education. Saki tells the whole truth. It was all an experiment led by the Leader of the colony, at least everything that had happened to them. This group wasn't hypnotized into submission like the others. This gives them limited amounts of free thinking, which has led to many unseen events. One Fiend could wipe out the whole village. Tomiko promises the safety of Mamoru and Maria if she brings them back. She has three days to bring them back. Tomiko is 267 years old and she has slowly built her power the whole time. She may pass on her ability to live forever. Satoru joins her on the quest. Their friends are gone.

Episode 15

Their friends have disappeared. They try to chase a queer rat that they notice. They find Squealer again, who agrees to help them. They go to greet the queen and her pinned in a hole because of her "mental instability". The queer rats have formed a union and lobotomized the queens. They think that the queer rats are now trying to replace humanity. The Robber Fly colony goes to war against the Goat Moth colony. They tear down the door to get answers. They find Squonk who has a letter from Maria and Mamoru.
