2008-2009 Road Trips:
Ball State: 50 members of the Paint Crew braved the wet and icy weather and made it to Muncie to see a game in "the nest." They witnessed Purdue's best defensive output of the season from a scoring standpoint, and the Boilers won the game 69-39.
Wooden Tradition vs. Davidson: 150 members of the Paint Crew made the short trip down I65 to Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis to see the Boilers take on Stephon Curry and Davidson. The Boilers got out to a quick 25-2 lead and held on to it for a 76-58 win over the then ranked Wildcats. Curry was held to 13 points on 5 of 26 shooting.
Penn State: 50 of the Boiler Faithful came back early from Winter Break and endured a 12 hour bus trip to the Bryce Jordan Center in Happy Valley. The weather was terrible, and so was the game. Playing without stars Robbie Hummel and Chris Kramer, the Boilers fell to the streaky Penn State team 67-64. To make matters worse, the interstate needed to get home was closed, the Paint Crew was forced to stay overnight in the middle of a deserted college town.
Illinois: 100 Paint Crew members made the 2 hour trip west to see the bruised Boilers take on an up and coming Illinois team. The Boilers were again without Robbie Hummel, and were blown out by the Illini, 66-48.
Iowa: For the final road trip of the season, 100 members of the Paint Crew took the 6 hour Valentines Day drive to Carver Hawkeye Arena. Robbie Hummel returned for the first time in three games, and Paint Crew cheered the Boilers to a 49-45 victory.
