New autocross topic

The parking lot IS available for the 18th of April. I talked to Jeff Irwin who facilitates all that and GP isn't doing anything. I believe we will need to start earlier in the morning on Sudnay, maybe around 9am. It is $150 to rent a section of the lot, so we'll need to talk about that issue (Luke, send me a PM). Liability forms will be needed to be written and I need to finish paper work. If you are a go for this event, vote yes.

Liability forms???? What all is involved with this. I'd be all about doing it, but i have no idea what is involved.

I'd imagine the club could come up with 150 bucks for the lot.

Liability will most likely include proof of insurance on the car, and injuries. I doubt there will be any, but I don't think the club should get sued by a bad driver. I'm also thinking that if SCCA will be involved, then we need to find some helmets too. I think that maybe we should try to pitch $5 or so to help cover some things. At the meeting, we will need to talk about all the issues on this. Classes (usually A,B,C by type of car), money, equipment, and liability issues we might want to try to cover our own asses on.

The forms are probably just your typical waiver forms saying Purdue has no responsibility for injury or damage cause by therir facility.

I'd like to know if someone can meet with me before the meeting so that they can give a small presentation on the autocross items. I've got a test from 7-830, so I won't be able to be there.

I talked to my dad this weekend, and he said we can use the timing equipement and cones. If the club needs these let me know so i can run home and get them.

ok, here's an update on the autox. We tried to meet with risk management today, but they weren't available. As soon as risk management approves, everyone else will, and then the autox will be a go. :pray:

Well, i'm back from Lakeville and I have the pylons and timing equipement. If its a go, the stuff is down here. I will just need somebody to help bring everyting to the track. It was a bitch trying to get everything into my firebird.
