Can't make it to this one, mainly because my car is sitting in IL right now broken so I'm heading home tomorrow to fix it. But I should be at any others with some new toys

I've never been to this. How busy does it get? I just don't wanna go and spend a majority of my night in the staging lanes. At any rate I'm going out of town this weekend so I can't make it this time, but hopefully in the future.

Can someone explain this to me, is it just the IRP but a different version? How far is it from West Lafayette?

Yep. The only thing that's on is the left / right lane winner light. You still get a timeslip at the end of the run, but nobody else can see your times... oooooooh, how mysterious!

US 41 is a drag strip about 50 miles north of Purdue. Definately on the ghetto side compared to strips like Route 66 or Byron (for you Illinois folks). Still a helluva good time.

I've never been to one personally... but they apparently get pretty busy. It is mostly for the street racer crowd to talk shit, call each other out, and show off their mAd dr1ving skilllzz, d00d. Most races go down for $200-$2000.

I would like to go down and see it but I have to work on Saturday at 6 AM... god knows my drag-style shifting still sucks balls so I would probably just spectate.

Couple of guys on the SRT forum for Chi-town are talking about going. I think it would be fun, but I don't think I'm good enough driving yet to run against some of those guys. Plus I'm still probably not fast enuf.

hey, when we were in your car like a week or two ago, were you spinning in 3rd?

It is usually packed and very busy, They have 4 lanes, and yes they do show times, unless you get into the far 2 right lanes which are grudge races (no times for that one, but you do get a time slip). it is usually packed with V8's and bikes, not many 4 cylinders at all really. Great time, bring beer and a Grill.

Yes, I can spin them a little in third. :)

When we did those little twisties I cam out of that one in third and I think they were spinning a little. :D

Yo Shaggy, You should bring your neon over there, Tonight most of the Neon guys were running high 14's, they had a blue SRT-4, silver with stripes, and a red one. None of them broke 13's. I thought those cars ran a low 14, maybe a high 13 stock? And they had a Brand new Viper with Dealer Plates, talk about a test drive.
LOL
It was a good time, No rain.

Sounds like the Neon guys didn't know how to drive or traction was really bad. I mean with stage 1 I ran a 13.6. I'm sure I'll do better then that now. :D

Its to bad there so many of them now. I seen a old lady driving one not long ago. I can see her at the track next dealing with manimal.

I saw a Black 04 SRT-4 Saturday at Sears parked towards the back. It had # 138 on it from being at the track. Was it one of them that was out there raceing.
