Post Important All Members Please Read!!!

As the current president, I feel that it is my duty to run the organization and to keep all the members up to date with what is going on… Today I went to get our signature card and found that Purdue had categorized our group as “Inactive”. To change this we need to elect a new Treasurer, fill out the signature card to be turned in, and update our constitution that has not been updated since 2004. Also, according to Purdue our group only has 9 members (10 now that I put my name on the books) and I know we have more than that… So at the first meeting this Wednesday (1-11-12) I will be collecting everyone’s contact information, elections for the Treasurer and Scribe will take place, and dates for this semesters events (such as car shows) will be discussed. One other thing Purdue has our organizations name down as ”Automotive Performance Association” not “Purdue Automotive Performance Association” I will also make sure this changes! I hope to see everyone at the first meeting of this semester.

Regards,

Ryan Houck

IMPORTANT UPDATE!!!!!

I have reviewed and updated our constitution. I have also added 3 amendments! Our current constitution currently reads “All amendments must be approved by 75% of active members in attendance and all of the officers of the club.” So I urge all active members to please be at this first meeting so we can approve the constitution and get out of our “Inactive” status that Purdue has us in!

The way I would like our first meeting of this semester to go is to first start off by electing a Treasurer, Secretary, and Webmaster (since President and Vice President have already been elected). Second I would like to go over what I have updated and changed in our constitution, and then put it to a vote for approval. Finally, if time allows I would like to talk about events so that I can reserve spots on campus for car shows and etc…

So that’s what I would like the first meeting to be like, hope to see you all there!

Regards,

Ryan Houck
