Chris Uberti and Derek Laan placed 9th and 10th in the criterium at Collegiate Road Nationals. Good job, guys!
Purdue riders Chris Uberti, Derek Laan and Joey Iuliano will be racing this weekend in Fort Collins, Colorado, at Collegiate Nationals. Check back for final results early next week!

First of all I would like to extend a big thanks to everyone who came out and
volunteered for our race. Brian and I received several compliments from the
sheriffs, officials, and residents on how smoothly and professionally the race
as conducted. It was the best edition yet and this would not have been possible
without your help!
Second, we made the Exponent (again):

If you didn’t know already Chris won the men’s A, Stephen won the men’s C, and
we had numerous top 10’s in the other categories. Everyone who raced did an
excellent job- clearly the hard winter training is clearly paying off in spades.
With that in mind, our next set of races are at Wisconsin on the 18-19th
followed by regionals at OSU on the 25-26. I know time is getting crunched with
classes, however, if everyone continues to train smart there is no reason why we
cannot build on our streak of results at these upcoming races.
Enjoy the rest weekend and keep up the good work- we’re on track to one of our
best seasons yet!

Due to Daylight Savings Time, the standard time for the weekday rides has changed to 4:45 PM.
Today was the first race of the season and with it Purdue’s first win! Naveen John won the Men’s Category C road race hosted by Murray State. In the Men’s A race, Joey Iuliano was in the winning breakaway and placed fifth overall. Full results will be posted soon.

For those of you who joined Purdue Cycling Club in the past months, here are the options you have if you plan to compete or not. These options apply for both the Road season (spring semester) and MTB season (fall semester). Although USA Cycling (USAC) differentiates Road/Track/Cyclo-cross and MTB regular licenses, a collegiate license covers any collegiate event, but exclusively collegiate events! Everything is explained below.
Our callout for the spring semester will be Thursday January 22nd at 7 PM in ME 161. See you there!!
For the Spring semester 2009, our meetings will be Thursdays at 7 PM in ME116.
