Competition Information

Competition season is a wild time.  Teams rushing to do the final touches on their machines.  Crews working to set up signs for the event.  Teams and fans all crowding into Purdue’s campus.  All the while everyone knows that the craziest engineering machines are soon to be unveiled.

This year’s competition should even more exciting than years past.  If you thought last years task of making orange juice from whole oranges was a crazy idea for a Rube Goldberg Machine, prepare to be even more astonished this year!

The task to be accomplished this year by every Rube Goldberg contestant has been revealed!

In at least 20 steps, each team will have to assemble a hamburger consisting of no less than one pre-cooked meat patty, two vegetables and two condiments sandwiched between two bun halves.  Sound challenging?  It is.  That’s why we want you to see the show!

As the PSPE Rube Goldberg Team, we want to invite everyone to come to competition!  It is an exciting time for people of all ages.  You can come to the Purdue’s sponsored Regional competition and see what your community teams have created this season.  You can also come to the National competition and see all the best teams from across the nation.  The best part is that the National competition is held right here at Purdue!

Both competitions are completely free to attend and we invite you to attend them both!  Come and show your support for engineering creativity!
