The 2008 Persuasive Speaking Contest, sponsored by the Petticrew Debate Team, will be on Wednesday, April 16th at 6:00 PM in BRNG 1230

The 2008 Persuasive Speaking Contest, sponsored by the Petticrew Debate Team, will be on Wednesday, April 16^th at 6:00 PM in BRNG 1230.

Rules:

· Each contestant will deliver an original persuasive speech not to exceed 8 minutes in length.

· Time signals will NOT be given during the speech.

· Students may use visual aids, including PowerPoint or other electronic media.

· First prize is $100 cash.

· The competition is open to all Purdue University undergraduate students.

· RSVP is required. Deadline to enter is Monday, April 14^th, 2008. Enter by emailing Chris Roberts at robertcs@purdue.edu. Be sure to label your topic line “PERSUASIVE SPEAKING CONTEST”
