Welcome to Purdue's
Engineering World Health!
At Purdue's chapter of the Engineering World Health organization, we not only strive to maintain the standards set by the headquarters branch, but also assist the community in any way we can. Within our branch, we maintain three subgroups, each with it's own objectives and officers.
Project Design
Our project design group takes suggestions from the EWH headquarters, and attempts to produce much needed medical equipment to a durable standard for a much lower price.
Equipment Repair
Our equipment repair group, under authorization from the EWH headquarters, aquires and repairs medical equipment from local hospitals and medical centers. Once repaired, these pieces of equipment are shipped for inspection, and upon passing will be donated to impoverished medical facilities across the planet.
Trinity Nursing Center
The Trinity Nursing Center is based in Lafayette, IN, and was dedicated on April 30, 2006. It was created based upon a partnership between Trinity United Method Church (TUMC) and the Purdue School of Nursing. The clinic has grown from serving 400 to 600 families in the local community. EWH has been routinely providing volunteers to the center for multiple purposes, but all for the good of the community and its children.
