A Message From The President

Welcome to Purdue Graduate Student Government (PGSG). We are glad that you decided to spend a moment here.

PGSG is the official student organization that caters to the needs and concerns of all graduate students at Purdue University. Representatives from participating departments, known as Senators, make up the Graduate senate acting as a liaison between the administration and the student body.

Over the years PGSG have worked extremely hard to address key issues, and we continue to do so. This year we desire to attain better housing opportunities for graduate students, commensurate health insurance coverage, awareness of safety on campus and a repeat of a much acclaimed ‘Graduate job fair’, aimed at fulfilling the expectations of a wider graduate population; to name a few.

To assist you in every possible way, we urge you to utilize our resources. From attending workshops held by the Academic and Professional development committee, applying for a “Travel grant” to present your research at a conference, spending a relaxing evening at our various social events or bringing your worries directly to us via the “Online feedback form” located on our homepage. We are here to listen to you, talk to us! Help us, to serve you better.

On behalf of the Graduate student government, I extend you an invitation to visit us at a ‘Senate meeting’ to see how we function, to a ‘Callout’ to know more of what we do or join us for a day filled with fun and frolic (please see our calendar for events). Whether you represent your department as the senator or you are a graduate student who desires to serve the community or hone your managerial skills, we have something for you here at PGSG. Come join us!
