GRADUATE STUDENT JOB FAIR
Finally, a job fair just for graduate students, by graduate students! We invite you to come to a unique fair and meet students who have proven that not only do they understand the fundamentals of their field, but they can research and find solutions for problems that haven’t been solved before.
THREE FAIRS IN FOUR DAYS
To help companies decrease the amount of travel, the grad job fair is positioned between the PESC Expo (March 2, interviews on the 3rd) and the Liberal Arts Fair (March 5). This makes March 2-5 THE week to recruit at Purdue!
REVERSE JOB FAIR
To allow employers the chance to really see what our graduate students are about, there will be a Reverse Job Fair before the traditional job fair. The Reverse Job Fair is a poster session allowing graduate students to display their achievements, areas of interest, and the work they have spent years developing. Information about the students participating in the reverse job fair will be available to companies a few days before the fair. Thus, companies will have a summary of the candidates before they come to Purdue, so they can focus on those candidates who may best fit their vacancies.
EMPLOYER REPRESENTATIVES
Because this fair is focused on graduate students, companies are invited to send representatives who will be able to meet and discuss the advanced work being done by Purdue graduate students in search of good candidates for their team. The goal is for each employer to leave with several good leads, not several hundred resumes.
ORGANIZERS
The Graduate Student Job Fair began as a Purdue Graduate Student Senate Goal. It is co-organized by the Purdue Graduate Student Government(PGSG), the Black Graduate Association(BGA) and the Latino Graduate Student Organization(LGSO).
