(Costa Rica) CR Gallery ~ July 2004

Predator tracks on Tortuguero Beach?!?  We did get to see a sea turtle laying/burying her many, many eggs in the sandy beach (in the dark of night along with many, many other sightseers) and retreat back into the sea to the sounds of cheers from those who came from afar to view this miraculous scene!!  However, NO pictures were allowed so the turtles would not be disturbed.

Heron in the trees during our canal tour of Tortuguero! 
 




We saw many other wonders of nature as well -- camine and small turtle (below) that came right up to the side of our boat, plus spider monkeys, lizards, toucans, and more!!




It was all just beautiful and wonderful to behold!
