Directors' Corner
Please Help with Our Fundraisers

This is the time of year we need extra money with Summer Games around the corner.  We have several ways we are trying to get this accomplished.
Sponsor-An-Athlete campaign to get each athlete sponsored at the Summer Games at $100 per athlete OR
Selling Harley tickets at $10 per ticket, of which our county can keep $5 each.  We could use help selling these tickets, so please contact us at 589-8252 or 430-4820 to get your tickets now.

Athletes' Corner
Bryan has been an Athlete for 17 Years

I have been in Special Olympics since I was 8 years old.  I have met a lot of athletes and made a lot of friends.  I enjoy participating in swimming, golf, basketball, and bowling, especially in unified sports with my cousin Mike.  He's the best!
All the coaches are very helpful, and I enjoy meeting the Purdue student helpers in swimming.  This year I have started in the ALPs program.  Summer Games is one of the highlights of my year.  My goal is to one day participate in the World Games.

Plan to Attend Special Olympics Sports Camp

Special Olympics Indiana and Waycross Episcopal Camp have teamed up to provide two sessions of Sports Camps for Special Olympics athletes this summer at Camp Waycross in Brown County.  The first session will be held June 29 to July 1 for youth ages 8 thru 17.  The second session will be held July 1 thru July 3 for adults ages 18 and older.  Campers will be exposed to a variety of different sports and activities to build skills, self-esteem, and fellowship.  Camp fees are $170 per camper, but funding assistance may be available if needed.
Contact Pam Eakin at 800-742-0612, ext. 232 for more specific details or to request camp applications, or log onto www.waycrosscamp.org and Special Olympics Sports Camp.
