Upcoming Trips

Here are the upcoming trips for the spring semester 2008. Make sure you sign-up as they are a great chance to get out and do some photography as well as learning from others.

These trips are all day trips, for the Chicago trip we do not usually return until very late, as in around 1am.

  • Chicago, Saturday April 12th

Who we are and what we do

Check out our Flickr group and see pictures posted by club members. Also, if you're a club member join the group and show your pictures!

Purdue Camera Club is made up of independent amateur photographers, ranging in skill from novice to advanced. Our meetings consist of photo critique nights, guest speakers, demos, and presentations. Anyone affiliated with Purdue may join the club at any time during the semester. Feel free to show up at any of our meetings and find out what we're all about. For more information, or if you have any questions, please let us know.

Alongside our club meetings, we also offer one black and white darkroom, a studio, and a resource library for member use. For those of you interested in developing your own film and making your own prints (or if you would like to learn how), access to the club facilites is available for $15 per semester. Everything you will need for the darkroom is provided (except paper & film). The club has two B&W enlargers. In our studio, we have two professional strobes, two slave strobes, and various props and backgrounds. If you do not know how to use something, please ask; Don't try to make it work without knowing how. For more information on the facilities, see the club facilities page. For those who are interested in using these facilities, but do not know how, we offer a mentor program, in which older members teach both digital and film shooting techniques. Those who wish to can also learn how to use the darkroom and studio.

Every semester we try to organize at least two club trips. In the fall we attempt to get to a state park with another trip in both the fall and spring semester to Chicago.
